These lessons are done after the park closes or before it opens so as not to take away from the other guests. I've been to several water parks where they offer private lessons on the flow rider for an additional fee, usually $50. The flow rider was good and they gave people ample time to try out their surfing techniques. No smile or are you having a nice day? The lazy river did have a nice current, but there weren't enough tubes. The lifeguards/attendants were downright unfriendly. Most of their competitors charge about half of that rate. The lockers are extremely overpriced at $16/$18. They know how many people are checking in for the day, they were just understaffed. We waited in a line for nearly an hour just to get the wristbands. While check-in was not until 4pm, you could get your wristbands for the water park at noon. The biggest disappointment was the wait time to check-in. However, if you've been to a Great Wolf Lodge, you will be disappointed. If you've never been to a hotel with an indoor water park, you'll be impressed.
